What You Need to Know about Liquid Salt/Snow Season

Are you worried about the winter months of snowy and icy parking lots and driveways? Here at Totally Outdoors we are prepared to make your residential homes and commercial businesses as safe as possible. One of the best options is to pre-treat your drive or parking lot with Liquid Salt. The liquid salt makes it as if there is a buffering zone between the snow and the asphalt. The liquid salt keeps the ice from forming. And when the snowplow crew comes through the plow will heat up the pretreatment and it will melt. This salt lasts up to 14 days!

We can also spray liquid salt on any steps, sidewalks, or hills to keep the slippery slope of ice away from where you walk.

Sometime this winter we probably will get a warning about an ice storm coming our way. If this happens the Totally Outdoor crew can pre-salt before hand so freezing rain doesn’t doesn’t produce icy roads as fast. Most of the time with pre-salting asphalt, the ice will not form at all.

The whole winter will not be filled with freezing ice coverage, sometime throughout the winter we will have wet snow. Wet snow is considered the snow we get when temperatures are in the high 20’s to mid 30’s. For this type of snow we will not need to use liquid salt but instead we will come through and plow your asphalt area.
